Re: Prime in Huntington
Yes, was there last month...The atmosphere is great, eat outside if you can! Go for a cocktail outside before or after as well. It's definetly a place for people watching ;) The dinner was pretty good (I recommend you don't get the entree that's on the skewers w/ the fusilli pasta on the side-forget the name), the dessert was great, you HAVE to get the chocolate beignets...SOOOO good! Have FUN!

Re: Prime in Huntington
My sister just went there and said it was excellent. Can't remember what she ate, though - probably steak.

Re: Prime in Huntington
I was there pretty often in the summer, but haven't been since.
Good food, but I've always felt their service was lacking (slow). BUT the atmosphere is what keeps bringing us back, the outdoors in particular.
Don't know what time you're going, but the crowd can get kind of wacky by 10pm on a Saturday night. It becomes divorcee central, where there's lot of 50+ woman in super tight clothing trying to nab themselves a man by the main bar...real interesting to watch.

We're going at 7:30. Maybe I'll hang around just to witness that. We'll probably go out in Huntington afterwards....it's my old stomping ground. I'm just psyched to get out w/my DH

It's hit or miss. My DH and I are baffled by it because it can be so inconsistent.
I'm not trying to discourage you. It's primarily a classy place, especially the dinner crowd.
Have a wonderful time!!!!

All the steak houses we frequent are like that. Rothmann's and Sagamore on a Thursday night - forget about it! IT doesn't take away from the dinner, but like you said, it certainly is interesting watching, and watching the valet's park the cars the drive!

You hit the nail on the head!!! Just like Blue Honu used to be, not sure if Honu Kitchen is like that now..I'm sure it is. It's hysterical!

ITA The service was not that great either. We had a 9:00 reservation, we did not get seated until close to 10:00 and our appetizers were not brought out to us until 11:00. I thought it was pretty over priced for the fair food and poor service. I would only go again to sit outside for drinks.

Re: Prime in Huntington
I've heard mixed reviews about it - mostly that the food is good but not great for the price.
We are going to Teller's tonight and I am EXTREMELY excited!!!!
