private room at Winthrop
I posted this on the Pregnancy board as well.. Just wondering how much extra a private maternity room is at Winthrop?

My Bill was like $850 ( $875 maybe?) and I had a c-section and was there 5 nights. But it was sooo worth it to me.

I think I was quoted $300 a night, but it wasn't available, so instead I had the roommate from hell.

$220 per night last year. Worth every penny. But it's on a first come first serve. So make sure to request it the minute you register when you come to deliver. If it's not available, ask to be on the waiting list and keep asking for it.
I had a c-section and was BFing. I loved being able to rest without sharing a room with someone else and her visitor (I had to the 1st night.... she was a nightmare!).

i think it's 220 a night
i will def be getting a private room next time around

It was $200 a night back when I had my son in 2004 and it was the best money spent ever. I had a c/s and requested the room upon check-in and it wasn't available. I hated sharing the room... I got out and into a private room the very next day. Best thing ever.
Now when I had my DD, I had a regular v-birth, so I was only in 2 days and decided to play it by ear... I ended up having NO roommate until the afternoon I checked out. I was very lucky - and very happy. While I was waiting to leave, the new roomie fell asleep and snored like a truck driver  No way could I have roomed with her

Yep- We paid $220 for our private room. Since DD was born after midnight, the first night did not count. We stayed 1 night after that and then was discharged the following morning- so only had to pay for 1 night. TOTALLY WORTH IT!
