Product Review (rave) - Nail Related (long)

I have posted before about the horrible reaction Emma has to me trimming her nails. I've tried it all....doing my own nails in front of her, waiting until she's asleep, EVERYTHING & nothing works. I'm sincerely afraid that the landlord is going to call the police when i'm trimming her nails if he hears her screams...

When I saw the buzz b. - battery-operated nail trimmer written about in Parents magazine, i figured it couldn't hurt to try... I searched it out online, i couldn't find it ANYWHERE...it was sold out everywhere I looked. I found the company on facebook (zolibaby) and messaged them on their wall. They responded that a shoe store in CA had it and gave me their info. I called that store & a lovely woman said she had like 10 calls about it that day and that I was getting one of her last 2. I told her that the company posted on facebook that they had them and she was so pleased!

I received it last week!!! I have used it twice so far (once when i had already tried to cut her nails, so that was bad)...but last night I used it again. Keep in mind, she's already pissy because she is sick...but she was sitting on Dave's lap, watching Nick Jr., drinking a bottle and allowed me to do every nail. She pulled away a little bit, every once in awhile, but never once screamed, cried, whimpered or jolted.

It's basically a battery operated nail file & they have different files for different ages, so you can use it for awhile! The vibration seems to be what makes it less 'annoying' for the babies....at least it bothers Em less!

This is going to sound silly, but when you use it, the 'nail file dust' gets on the fingers, so I found myself kissing her nails...(make sure the hands are clean first, of course) to clean them off, but also then feeling with my lips for sharp edges. If she had any edges, i'd go back over them with the file thingy.

I DEFINITELY recommend this product....it has made one part of my life MUCH less stressful!!!!!
