Professional Bra Measurment question
Hi ladies--I think i've been wearing the wrong bra size for many years. i would like to get professionally measured. Does anyone know of a good place to go to so I can get measured and buy some new bras? I live in Smithtown but will travel a little.

there's a place georgette's in bethpage. they are pretty funny actually..theyve been doing this for about 40 years! best thing i ever did. i was wearing a 36 B and fond out i was a 32 D/34 C!!! made a huge difference!!

I recommend them as well, but make sure you see Georgette.

I like Mary's Corseterie in Woodbury much better that Georgette's in Hicksville. Or I should say, I feel they "fitted" me better at Mary's. I wound up hating the bras I got at Georgette's, but they were very nice.

I went to a place in Great Neck....I think it was Bee's anyway OMG they were the best I was a 36D or so I thought.....but they put in a 36DD ...they look much better!

Thanks ladies. I am going to georgettes tomorrow. also, i called marys coresette. they are closed for the summer. they reopen next week so maybe i'll try them next week. Thank you again for all your help! :o)

Wow- Georgette's was AMAZING. I've been wearing a size 38C for what it seems like forever!!! But, I am really a 34 DD!!! WHOAAA... I was very surprised to hear that! Anyway, I'm wearing the most comfortable bra in the world right now and looks 100x better than my old one. I didnt't have Georgette measure me. It was another lady. I"m not sure of her name but she was really nice and she was a light skin puetro rican (as she told me). Thanks for the reccomendation everyone!

so how exactly do they measure u?
i always thought under the boob and you add 5/6 depending if it's odd or even.... then fullest part and then you subtract the difference,,,is this how they did it?

I went there too. Yes, you're right they are pretty funny there. I love that place. Not what I was expecting when I walked in (seems outdated) however they really know their stuff! The bras there are actually really very nice too, you can get sexy ones or every day bras. It was the best thing I ever did too.

Absolutely. I am not sure exactly how she measured me... she just did her thing! I was surprised to see so many moo moo's in the showroom hah. I was expecting to see all sexy stuff. I am very happy with my casual bras. Although, I am not used to it being so tight! I guess its supposed to feel like that!

HA! Definitely not the most glamourous store but they know their stuff and she pulls out pretty bras. They are hidden away in boxes in the back.
