Professional Certificate Question
I'm applying on TEACH for a Professional Certificate. I currectly have my Initial Certificate and am following the requirements for Certificate Progression. I know I have everything except I don't know what 1 thing is. It says I need "Graduate Coursework Content Core - Liberal Arts and Sciences - 12 S.H." I'm a 3rd grade teacher so I'm assuming this is for specialized teachers, like a high school chemistry teacher or something, and I'm covered with my masters. Does anyone know about this? When the TEACH website gives me my checklist of what I have/need they don't check this off even though my masters is checked off. I am very confused by this and as you all know there is never anyone to call to get a straight answer on these things.

Re: Professional Certificate Question
The woman from certification office at BOCES was extremely helpful to me when I applied for my certificate for Literacy. She practically walked me through the process. I would give them a call.

I agree....the woman was great and easy to get a hold of (i'm in western suffolk BOCES range), which was great since NY likes to see how long you'll hold before you hang up.
Than being said, I THINK you'll need to send transcripts to be evaluated. I'm trying to remember if I did or not.
Or it could be something stupid that they don't have on file. For some reason, they didn't have my mentoring on file, so I just had to mail to to them.
Either way...call and she'll walk you through it!
