Progesterone shot question
I was wondering if anyone has experienced something so strange that happened to me tonight. On my 10th day of Progesterone shots (my transfer was Thursday 4/5) my DH went through the usual process and pulled back on the syringe to make sure no blood was present. No blood, so he continued. When he pulled out the syringe bright red, rather thin blood literally spilled out of me. It stopped rather quickly, but we were both pretty scared. I was wondering if this has happened, if it is normal, etc.
Also, I started estrogen pills last night... could this be related?
TIA!!

Re: Progesterone shot question
I don't think it's related, he probably hit a blood vessel is all. I had it happen once when DH was giving me a progesterone shot also.
BTW, Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Progesterone shot question
its happened to me a few times, I think you knick a capillary on the way out. No big deal but it is freaky. Especially when it projectiles out.
Someone warned me, she was sitting on her white carpet facing the mirror and gave herself the injection, When she was done she heard a noise only to look and see blood squirting out on her carpet.
Ahhh.... the joys of infertility
