progesterone spinoff
In another post someone mentioned if they were pregnant they could use all the "progesterone support" they could get. Can someone explain what it does? The dr prescribed Crinone for after IUI.
TIA

Re: progesterone spinoff
Thats synthetic progesterone. The only thing about it is that it won't really show up in blood results...I have been on it with no side effects except for a raised temp. If you are temping thsi will throw off your temps

Re: progesterone spinoff
Oh also progesterone is something that is produced by the corpeus luteum(basically the sac thats left after an egg kleaves it) In a natural PG or someone without luteal phase issues this produces enough progesterone to sustain the pregnancy until the placenta takes over at 10-12 weeks. Progesterone is the chemical that builds your lining for implantation. HTH

Re: progesterone spinoff
My doctor actually prescribed me progesterone suppositories which DO show up on bloodwork. Any way of asking about that??
