Progesterone suppositories?
I woke up today with some brown spotting. When into the doctor and my progesterone dropped from 21.3 to 14.6. She (reluctantly) give me what I thought were progesterone suppositories but I just picked them up from the pharmacy and they're pills. The pharmacist told me they can be used vaginally? WTH? Has anyone ever done this? Couldn't she just give me crinone or endometrin???
Also, I'm completely panicking about why my progesterone is dropping. HCG was ok and I saw the tiniest flicker of a heartbeat on ultrasound, but I am measuring 2 days behind.

Re: Progesterone suppositories?
Yes you can use the pills vaginally but supps like endometrin or crinone are more common. I would call your doctor to be sure this is what she wants you to take. I hope everything is OK!

I just took endometrin. Is that what they gave you. Pills are easier than supps.

Re: Progesterone suppositories?
i was on crinone from 5w-19w my first pregnancy and this pregnancy. your numbers fluctuate throughout the day. its normal. my levels have been as low as 8 maybe even lower. 14.6 is still a good number. Also, I measured a few days behind with this pregnancy and my first. Dont worry, by the time I was 8/9 weeks or so the baby was "caught up" to the exact due date. And they don't have to be exact either, they are allowed to measure a little behind, up to a week. It all depends on when you ovulated exactly. Im sure the measurement will change any day/week now!! Good luck!

Progesterone suppositories?
My progesterone went from 17 to 14 to 12 to 14. I am currently 9 weeks and my babys heartbeat last week was 173. I was scared about the progesterone being low, but they say if you conceived with no meds, than anything over 10 is fine, over 15 is you had meds.

Re: Progesterone suppositories?
Thanks, girls. I'm so concerned about the spotting. I feel like 14.6 isn't low enough to cause spotting, but at the same time, I have the same issue before my period every month.....as soon as my temp drops, I spot. Maybe I'm just overly sensitive to fluctuations.
I did see a heartbeat and my beta was almost 55,000, which my doc said was excellent for 6 weeks, so that's a little bit reassuring I guess.
the progesterone works!
