progesterone suppository & bed rest
both of these are my life now. after spending 2 nights in labor & delivery due to preterm contractions, i am now on bed rest & will be taking progesterone suppositories once a night until i'm 36w. i'm 29w now so this means bed rest for at least 7 weeks
if anyone has any experience with either of these (suppositories and/or bed rest) any advice, helpful hints or positive stories would be greatly appreciated!!!!

First off,
I've been on progesterone suppositories. What type are on you? You may want to wear a pantyliner. I always used it in the evening before bed.
TMI - If you are on crinone, you will need to make sure to clean out the excess when you shower. It kinda gets stuck inside you.... Gross - I know!

Try to drink as much water as you can and keep an empty bladder since that will also cause you to contract. Did they not want to give you procardia to stop the contractions? I am 32w and recently did a NST and I was contracting but didnt feel them so my OB said to drink tons of water since dehydration can bring on contractions. I hope that they stop soon for you.

I was on bed rest with my first for a little over seven weeks. It seems awful now but really enjoy the rest! Get Netflix if you do not have bc that has so much to watch! Also get some good books! When it is all over you will not even remember what is was like or how long it was! And def drink tons of water! Good luck!

Re: progesterone suppository & bed rest
thanks ladies!!
they couldnt give me procardia bc my blood pressure runs low during pregnancy so they didnt want me taking it
i have netflix (YAY!) so thats great. i keep telling myself that 7 weeks isnt too long of a time. its just a little different to be on bed rest since i also have a 3 year old to worry about!! but thankfully i have a lot of help from family, friends & my husband!!
im not sure what the name of the suppositories are... needless to say it was very interesting putting the first one in last night without an applicator to help me lol
