Progesterone suppository users... when did you stop
using them? Did you do it gradually or just stopped?

they kept me on PIO shots until 10 weeks but they dropped me from 2 cc's to 1 after 8 weeks....

I just stopped crinone last week at 10 wks. And let me tell you the stuff that came out of me a day or 2 later....Nasty!!!!

I stopped using them at exactly 12 weeks as per my doctor. The crazy part is that it continued to come out for about 5 days after...it's pretty nasty!!!!

At around 5 and a half weeks my RE lowered me to 2 inserts a day instead of 3...still waiting to be fully off

i was on 100mg endometrin 3x a day and my high risk ob had me stop them at 12 weeks even though the reg ob said i could stop them at 10 weeks. My high risk wanted me to do them for another 2 weeks.

I was on 800 mg/day for 6-7 weeks and then my doctor told me that I could just wean myself off of them or just stop altogether when I hit 11 weeks. So I took 200mg/day for the rest of the week and then just stopped.

What's funny is that I was taking the capsules that you insert for most of the time I was on the supps. That stuff was GROSS and kept coming out. Then I ran out and had to go to a CVS for a refill instead of my regular pharmacy and their supps were just a big bullet shaped hardened cream with no casing. They came in this white round box that had to be kept in the fridge. With those I had absolutely no discharge.

I was on 100mg endometrium and at my 7 week appt. they had me stop cold turkey and then tested my levels I think 2 days later which ended up being fine.

Can I just say that I am so sick of all of these stuff? I am 11 weeks tomorrow and I am still taking one crinone, one progesterone/estrace suppository, 40 mg of prednisone, two lovenox shots, a prenatal, two calcium, and one mentanx. The high risk dr is supposedly going to start reducing me if everything looks good on Monday.

So weird! I know we are due at the same time and both went to Dr B. He reduced my prednisone from 40 to 20 at 7 weeks and I am now off it completely and I stopped the progesterone last week. Still doing lovenox, but I guess I will be doing that til close to my DD.

I was originally on 20mg of prednisone and one lovenox. Once Kofinas saw blood clots in my uterus and placenta, he increased it to 40mg. Dr. B had nothing to do with it.

Still doing lovenox, but I guess I will be doing that til close to my DD.
Youll be doing the lovenox until 36 weeks then switch over to heparin (most likely 2x day - thats what im doing now) and after u have the baby ull go back to lovenox for another 6 weeks

so I guess its no problem to stop cold turkey then. I go on Friday for my ultrascreen... I will just make sure with the high risk dr then. I can't wait to stop but I'm nervous at the same time!!!

I was on 1cc of PIO until 7 weeks and than dropped to 1/2 cc for one week and than completely stopped at 8 weeks. Thank God those are done!
