Prometrium girls??? dizzy???
I just took my prometrium probably about a half hour ago, I am SO dizzy, it's just not even funny. I tried laying down but I'm spinning....anyone have this issue, it's freaking me out. (I haven't had any symptoms on this yet)
I know it's late, so I'm assuming I won't get a lot of responses but holy moly.

Re: Prometrium girls??? dizzy???
OMG.....I wonder if its why I keep getting this vertigo? The last time I had it was when I was PG and on the prometrium???
Im gonna do some reseach on this now.... Sorry no answer for you yet.
How much is your dosage?
eta- Try laying on your left side for a bit just in case it's low blood pressure.

Thanks Jess, it's not cool! haha I'm trying to ignore it the best I can by sitting up. Maybe it normally happens but I'm just not awake for it but today i took a two hour nap so I'm slightly wide awake I should've waited to take it...I guess live and learn!

Re: Prometrium girls??? dizzy???
and from webmd....
Nausea, bloating, breast tenderness, headache, change in vaginal discharge, mood swings, blurred vision, dizziness, or drowsiness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: unusual vaginal bleeding (e.g., spotting, breakthrough bleeding), mental/mood changes (e.g., depression, memory loss), swelling of the hands/feet, frequent/burning/painful urination, breast lumps, dark patches on the skin or face (melasma), yellowing eyes/skin, stomach/abdominal pain, persistent nausea/vomiting, dark urine, unusual tiredness.
This medication may rarely cause very serious (possibly fatal) problems from blood clots (e.g., heart attack, stroke, blood clots in the lungs or legs, blindness). Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following: chest/jaw/left arm pain, weakness on one side of the body, slurred speech, difficulty walking, sudden vision changes (e.g., blurred/double vision, loss of vision, bulging eyes), confusion, sudden severe headache, severe dizziness, fainting, trouble breathing, coughing up blood, pain/redness/swelling/weakness of the arms/legs, calf pain/swelling that is warm to the touch.
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Contact your doctor for medical advice about side effects. The following numbers do not provide medical advice, but in the US you may report side effects to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at 1-800-FDA-1088. In Canada, you may call Health Canada at 1-866-234-2345.

i completely understand staying away from the google search...it's NOT a good thing - but it's also nice to see that that it's a 'normal' side effect...

Re: Prometrium girls??? dizzy???
i didn't take the prometrium, but i spent months being severely dizzy whle pregnant, both pregnancies. first time ended up being 8.5 months of disability and not being allowed to drive at all the entire time. second wasn't as bad but there were still at least 5-7 months where i did no driving. for me it was a symptom of pregnancy. (oh and i was seeing Dr. Callan or Dr. Zitner depending on the pregnancy) Scanlon helped Callan deliver my 1st, and Callan assisted Scanlong delivering my second. (both c-sections)
