Re: Christening Gowns for girls
I bought my DD's gown at Lester's in Brooklyn. I thought it was beautiful. I have pictures of it in my photo album. Here is the link: http://www.lifamilies.com/community/album/?ID=5960

Re: Christening Gowns for girls
Believe it or not...I found DD's gown on Ebay!
I was not finding anything I liked in the stores. Everything was either too gaudy or made of that really cheap satin material. DD's gown was made of Irish linen, and I was SO thrilled with it. It was beautiful, we got so many compliments!

Re: Christening Gowns for girls
I got my DD's at Saks. Since her christening, it's been worn 3 other times (once by my other DD, my 2 goddaughter's have worn it) It was well worth the money I spent.

Re: Christening Gowns for girls
My (Jewish) mother crocheted the gown for my son & now my new daughter will be wearing it. My mom, God rest her soul, must have really loved me to crochet a Christening gown for her Jewsih daughter's baby! Needless to say, I am obviously not a practicing Jew but still it was a very loving and noble gesture on my mother's part & means even more now that she is gone. The gown will be handed to to all of her grandchildren's children & so on.
