Prometrium vs. Provera - UPDATED

Does anyone know the difference? Everything I can find online makes them seem like the same thing. TIA!

same thing, diffferent names. The one I took was the generic kind called something totally different.

Thank you. They seem that way from what I read. I spoke to my doctor on the phone and asked if it was the same. She said similar and then went on to talk about something else and I forgot to go back and ask her for specifics. The side effects are different. I may be on it soon, I'll ask the pharmacist when I pick it up. This is all so confusing....

Update:

Prometrium is a much lower dose than Provera. When used for fertility they told me that they usually start you on Prometrium unless there is another issue besides not getting your period. My cycles are irregular due to a M/C and not another issue they said.
