Protests on 9/11
Maybe it's me but I just don't understand how protesting on 9/11 (for any cause) is going to do a friggin thing. All I'm seeing on the news is this group WILL protest, this group WANTS to protest, etc.
I just want to shout, "There are 364 OTHER days to do it." I just think it's so selfish to think that their causes and beliefs matter tomorrow. It's just fueling the fire that started the whole event. It's like giving them what they want. More fighting and more hate. Tomorrowi, in my opinion, can't be about hate.
I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.

Re: Protests on 9/11
Normally the services on 9/11 are calm and respectful and go on with no issues.
I think this year things are going to be a lot different and that is sad.
There seems to be a lot of hostility in the air these days on all sides.

Re: Protests on 9/11
very sad - yes freedom to speech but there is a time and place for it.
I only see people acting like animals lately and its a sure sign its only the beginning of even more hateful times.

Re: Protests on 9/11
i'm just praying they will wait until after the ceremony is over
it's disrepectful to protest at all but if they do it during the ceremony, that's just disgusting

Terrible. I assume they will do the reading of the names again- I hope nothing is done to disrupt it.

They know they will get publicity if they do it on that day. Plain & simple.

I agree! There's a time and a place and it's not at the WTC site and it's certainly not tomorrow!

Re: Protests on 9/11
9/11 should be a day of peace and tolerance, not a day of hatred and ignorance. Hatred and ignorance caused 9/11. Peace and tolerance are the only things that will ensure we never have another 9/11.
