protocol for parents who don't watch their kids!
I am so tired of going places were the parent/parents don't watch their kid. I was alone with a 2 and 1 year old and I was able to make sure that my kid didn't hit/push/kick/ anyone...why can't you Mr. & Mrs. with 1 4 year old and a few of your friends?! Not only did your son push my 13 mth old multiple times, yell at her to not get on his toy, but then he proceeded to chase my son around tickeling him and jumping on his back even when he kept saying please stop..mommy help. I am not an overprotective parent but I am so tired of these lazy *** parents. Not only did they not say one word to their kid, but they also allowed them to wear shoes (where a large sign says no shoes/food/drinks), but also had them spilling cranberries all over the place, where i know how to go around picking up your food b/c there were a lot of little kids trying to eat them off the ground...nice.
WWYD?? I was so tempted to tell these parents off, but didn't bother. Honestly, if you don't want to be a parent, then don't be one....get a baby sitter to come watch your children. The playground is not slang for Let your kid run loose while you talk/text on the phone. I don't get people...although it was bitter sweet when the kid wacked his head on the wall and the dad said to the mom..did someone hit him...why is he crying? I then replied...no..he fell and hit his head a few minutes ago...he has been crying since then.

I see it everyday!!!!!! It is very frustrating. I feel like I am everyones mom. I also find that I end up feeding everyones kid also.

I see this so often too and I just don't get it either, the parents are in la la land on their cell phones etc. ignoring their child.

Re: protocol for parents who don't watch their kids!
I have no qualms about telling some unruly kid to knock it off if they are affecting my child. If the parent hears me or doesn't I really dont care. I'm no super mom, but I at least teach my kids basic playground rules and proper behavior and pull them out if they don't listen.
One time this kid just kept climing up the slide while my kids were trying to go down and I asked the kid multiple times to stop and he just ignored me, so he finally just got hit by a kid going down the slide. The mom acting like he was such a victim and I said, "He's been doing this for a while now and prventing kids from going down even though he's been asked to stop."
She rolled her eyes at me at said something under her voice.
I agree...I'm so over these moms who let their kids do anything. It will catch up with them, when the kids are older and have no true sense of responsibility and comprehension of consequences.

I have no tolerance for it either. They rather coffee clutch than watch their children, who are being unruly and often dangerous and in danger themselves.
I recently got very nasty with a man, a father, in the playground. He was allowing his son (older boy in a young child's play area) to act like an animal, practically run over me and some small children. I just can't keep my mouth closed sometimes when I hit a breaking point.
eta- honestly you can clearly see where children learn to not follow rules, when you see parents like this who have the philosophy that they let their child do whatever they want (basically no rules). Even if it means they put others at risk.
