provera
Has anyone had to take Provera due to missed periods? Did you have any side effects?

Re: provera
Provera, is basically a form of progesterone. It is given when AF hasn't shown, because of an annovulatory cycle.
Provera will raise the progesterone levels in your body, so the body "thinks" it ovulated. When the levels of progesterone fall, that's when you will get your AF. It's the way of starting a new fresh cycle.
The side effects are very similiar to those of pregnancy or the 2ww. You may be a bit crampy, bloated, emotional etc.....

Re: provera
I've taken it and was basically just really PMS. I felt that my period wasn't as heavy as it nomally would be though. I did have it for a full week.
