PS4 or Xbox One?
Anyone getting one of the above for your DC for Christmas? My oldest DS (8) really wants the Xbox One! From my research PS4 looks better. They are both $$$!!
DH is not a gamer so this is a whole new territory for us. The Wii just isn't cutting it for the older one. I have been thinking about just getting the Xbox 360 since we are newbies in this arena. Only 8 years late!! I know my oldest would be happy with the 360.
Any advice?

I have a few "gamers" in my family and they all say the ps4 hands down. They aren't anti xbox fwiw and currently have the ps3 and xbox 360. We preordered the PS4 under their advice. HTH

DH is a gamer and says PS4 hands down. Xbox will have some pretty bad spy equipment (for now it is not going to be enabled due to a lot of consumer backlash, but they never said that they were taking the spy equipment out of the machines so one patch update is all that would be required to turn it on.)

PS4, less add ons and stuff to pay for. We have had every console in my house, all versions. My husband is a PS fan. With what you described as the situation, go with PS4.
My SS is xbox and he is a gamer but to be honest, I think the only reason he stuck with xBox is because of Halo.

My husband works for Microsoft and is a gamer. His take on it is that Xbox is for older kids and the PS is better for the younger set (and old as well). Most of the games for Xbox are geared for an older child. While he likes the Xbox better (he might be bias : ) ) he said he would not get one for my nephew until he was over 10 at least.

We have ps3 and xbox 360. My kids are begging for Xbox 1 and haven't asked for ps4.
