PSA - great advice regarding baby safety/car rides

i went to a support group this week at a local hospital and the topic was baby safety...we talked about baby proofing the house, things that babies like to put in their mouths (everything LOL), car safety, etc and we started talking about that case last summer when the mom forgot she had her baby in the back seat and went to work. the baby died from heat exhaustion.

needless to say, everyone was shocked and said that they hoped nothing like that ever happened to them and one mom offered a good tip. she said that she puts her purse in the backseat ALWAYS. that way, no matter what happens, if she runs into a store for a quick moment, if she needs to go to an appointment, she always has to physically turn around and see her baby in the car seat so she won't forget he/she is there.

i thought it was a great tip and wanted to pass it along. no one ever knows when they'll have one of those hectic days where all hell breaks loose and God forbid anyone of us is ever in that situation. hope it helps!

... until that one time you're in a rush and just put it in the front seat.... If you can ALWAYS remember your purse, you can ALWAYS remember you DC in the back seat....
