PSA! Amazon Prime members & Subscribe & Save
I just sat on the phone with Amazon for 35 mins and finally got to speak to a supervisor and ripped into him!!!!!
Apparently Amazon changed their shipping policy as of April 29, and Subscribe & Save items will only be eligible for Free Standard Shipping, regardless of whether you are a Prime member or not!
I told him this is BS!! I pay an extra $80 a year for the two-day shipping service and every item that I order from your website should be eligible for it. Do not punish me, the consumer that is paying you more $$$ Take it out on the regular customers. All they could do for me was extend my prime membership a month but every1 who uses this should call and complain! ITS BS!!!! I am beyond PI$$ED off!!!
If you are a Prime member and use subscribe and save call them and complain about this! Such BS!!!

Wow, what is up with them lately? First they took away the coupons and now this! I can understand it for me (who onlyngot the prime because of s&s) but if you pay for prime, I agree you should get it. That is ridiculous!!

So you pay for Prime to get free 2 day shipping (which I do)....but then anything you buy on Subscribe&Save does NOT get free 2 day shipping??? Total BS!!!!!! How does that even make sense????? I will definitely complain!!!

I think it's the difference between free two-day shipping and free standard shipping.
Guess they were losing money on all that and not making enough on extra items ordered to make up for it. Maybe diapers.com will start to do better then. They sell diapers at a loss too (same as amazon) but everything else is a little pricier.

You can get the free 2 day shipping if you want, but you lose 15% off the 30%. I just ordered a box of diapers for DS. Says it will ship out May 31st or so. Lets see how long it takes. You still get free shipping, just not he free 2 day shipping. I also pay for the Amazon Prime and am a bit pizzed, but it is still cheaper for me to get them this way. I just have to remember to order them earlier.

Yea I noticed it too. But here is what happened to me:
My S and S was due to be delivered by May 24th.
BC there is not longer FREE 2 day shipping with S and S items the shipped it via FREE STANDARD shipping May 17th in order for it to arrive by the date.
I got it May 18th.

If you are a Prime member you still get free 2 day shipping on items but on S&S its Free Standard shipping which could be 5-7 days or something like that.

I was so upset earlier this week when I placed a S&S order for diapers and it wouldn't give me the 2 day shipping. I spent like 45 minutes on the phone with a rep who just kept going around in circles and didn't answer my questions (I was wondering if she was purposefully doing it or if she was really that dense  ). So thanks for posting this explanation since the amazon rep herself couldn't even explain anything to me.
On a side note, the diapers I ordered said they would be delivered May 27th-June 1st. But I checked tracking and they are out for delivery today already! So I got 2 day shipping anyway

We have been getting them the next day anyway with the free standard shipping. I don't really think it's that big a deal. I didn't pay for Prime though, I had it for free with the Amazon mom trial so maybe that's why it doesn't bother me.

I don't get the complaint. The whole point of Subscribing and having a "refill" date kind of negates the need for 2 day shipping. Just like a subscription to a magazine or a refill at the pharmacy has a date You still get FREE shipping PLUS 15-30% off, and if you have it set up right then you're going to get your shipment within the time frame stated. My latest S&S order of diapers (this week) extended my Prime membership to the max of a year.
We're lucky that Amazon has a S&S that they don't have a minimum on (like you have to commit to 3 months etc) and can cancel after one order and still get the discount. I think complaining about 2 day shipping when you're already getting such a discount is splitting hairs when you step back and look at what you're actually getting from them (30% off w/ no commitment to do more than one order, earn free PRIME membership up to a year and free standard shipping) JMHO

I JUST noticed that it isn't 2 day shipping anymore for diapers. As someone above posted, I don't mind that much because I buy diapers in advance and they should get here in time. It is like a refill.

The complaint is bc I PAID for my prime membership that's why! I don't just order diapers from Amazon. I also order plenty of other stuff from there on a weekly basis for business and personal and I enjoy the benefit of two day shipping. So you can have 2 day shipping or the additional discount. Sounds fair to me. Either or, not both. There is no difference. You still get 2 day shipping on everything unless you're getting the S&S discount, then you don't. OK, you're mad they took the bonus 2 day shipping away on Subscribe and Save items, probably too many people were abusing it (like with the coupons... ) and they were losing money. Plus, if you're getting your "refill" you really shouldn't need 2 day shipping.
I have PRIME through October for the entire site actually, and I will renew, and will still feel it's a good deal to get my 2 day shipping on almost the entire site. I will also still enjoy my % off on my baby AND regular S&S and deal with having a slightly longer shiptime (which I still get my stuff in 2 days based on my last 6 S&S orders in the last 2 weeks). I also do A LOT of shopping on Amazon as well, and I don't just buy baby stuff either. If I need it that badly, I won't get the discount but I will get my free 2 day shipping. Makes total sense to me. Still don't understand the complaint, honestly.

Not everything is eligible for Prime shipping anyways. My dryer (and a few other large items I've purchased over the years) wasn't eligible for free 2 day shipping but I did get FREE standard shipping. There have always been items that are ineligible for prime 2 day shipping on Amazon.

I'm so mad too!! I pay for my prime shipping and now I can't get my diapers in two days if I use the S&S!!
I also noticed that Diapers.com used to be cheaper than Amazon (esp. with those 20% coupons), but now it's not.
