PSA: car carts
We just got back from CVS and wanted to let you guys know about our scary experience shopping today. My 2 and a half year old DD LOVES the "car" carts- you know the ones where the kids sit in the front and you push the cart on the back. Well, apparently they are not as safe as I thought. She reached for something in the cart part and got her arm stuck in between the car and the cart. Yup, my routine CVS trip turned into a crying fiasco with my DD's arm stuck. The employees couldn't get her arms out, so they called 911, and then the cops, paramedics and a fireman came. Pretty scary. They had to take the cart apart while my little girl's arm swelled up. It looks like she'll just have a bruise. It never occured to me that something made for children wouldn't be childproof. I left a message for the CVS district manager to call me back- those carts should be removed from their stores.
Needless to say, we bought her a new Diego coloring book afterwards, and she is happy coloring right now.
Just another routine shopping trip...

OMGosh I am so glad your DD is OK.
Our CVS doesn't have the "car" carts, but, our grocery stores do.
