PSA: Flu Vaccine
A friend just forwarded info on the flu vaccine. It is recommended that anyone who will be PG during the flu season get the vaccine. I'm calling my doc today to see if they have them in yet and make sure I get one before they run out.

I'm sorry but I will not be getting this vaccine. It is too new, and it scares the crap out of me. I personally don't feel comfortable getting a vaccine that we don't know the long term effects of. I don't mean to stir up any drama, just my opinion. Personally I think there is a lot of media hype around swine flu. I think everyone needs to decide what is right for them, and for their family, but just make sure you do some research before you decided either way.

I was actually talking about the regular flu vaccine. I don't think the Swine Flu vaccine is out yet.

Sorry I thought you said swine flu. It is out, and they are pushing it on pregnant women, and children. I am watching the news as I post lol. It must have stuck in my head.

Swine Flu vaccine will not be available for a while...but people are recommending the regular flu shot (which may or may not make the disease less severe).
I'm honestly quite concerned about the swine flu. It's particularly nasty & seems to kill pretty healthy people (much more so than any regular flu).
