PSA: Viking Store Closing in Garden City - Everything 40% Off
The Viking store in Garden City is closing at the end of this month. The entire store is 40% off right now! So if you're thinking of buying any type of cooking gadget or appliance, take a peak! I walked out with a 7 quart professional stand mixer for $256 (pre-tax) because I was taking a class there today. Otherwise at 40% off it would have been $284. Either way- it's a really good deal. Also, a sil pat (24 1/2" x 16 1/2") that normally retails for $50 ended up being $30.

Oh no! I loved that store and took a couple of classes there.
I gather the cooking school portion is closing as well?
 that makes me so sad!

Yeah it's sad. They're closing both the retail and cooking class parts. From what I heard, the rent is too expensive, and they weren't making enough money off the retail. They're referring people out to their other locations for classes (none of which are in NY).
