Sorry i find this post cheesy...

1. if it is one person that is being "talked about" then there is no need for a PUBLIC service announcement..since the PUBLIC at large doesn't have this problem..

2. If you are going to call someone out...DO IT. Why be passive aggressive ....If you feel that strongly...DIRECT the comments as such...If do not feel that strongly about it...whine to a friend...

3. peeps...these are public boards...If you don't not want someone repeating a story you posted or a version of it...maybe you shouldn't post about it...

4. LOTS of people talk about the posts and what people say on these boards...NOTHING is going to be changed by a PSA...

EVERYONE DOES IT...

how rude of you!!Chat Icon No one asked for your opinion on this topic, and BTW, people address topics to their "lurkers" all the time (MILs, SILs, co-workers, etc)

I think the OP is hoping that the "lurker" will read this and then drink a nice tall glass of some "S T F U".....Chat Icon

i get that...

i just think that a LOT of people "talk" in FM and whatnot...
And posts like this can cause the wrong people to think they did something wrong...
when they didn't...
So i am a believer in the direct approach..public or not

Why not just FM the lurker then? i'm sure this can be frustrating... but i dont see how reacting to an immature act with more immaturity will solve anything Chat Icon

Re: PSA(self serving)

That stinks that people cant mind their own business -

I woudnt post info you wouldnt want anyone to read. i think we often forget this is the internet, and anyone can read it.

but people shouldnt be talking about what you post, that stinks!

Re: PSA(self serving)

I agree that if she knows who the person is, this should have been handled in FM.

But I know several of us have had issues where we didn't know WHO it was that was harassing us or sharing things that they shouldn't have shared and in that case, calling out on the boards is okay IMO.

ETA: I'm not clear which case it is for this particular post.

Re: PSA(self serving)

It's a double edge sword. You want the security to post whatever you want to post but then you're posting on a public forum. It can cause trouble... bottom line though, people should respect posters and the subject matter at hand, personal or not.

Contact the "offender" via FM... I bet it would solve your problem faster and to the point and also show this person that you're not one to mess with. Direct confrontation is a lot more intimidating (for lack of a better word) than beating around the bush...

Good luck!

I think it's a pretty wise statement, no matter what the format. External Image

I TOTALLY agree with that

I think that this chat site people get really comfortable with talking about their lives and forget this is a PUBLIC CHAT ROOM...

sure i think it is weird that MIL's and IL's and whatnot come on here and read posts purposefully..

But come on now....

at the end of the day...IT IS THE INTERNET....
