Puddle Jumpers----
I tried DS with his Puddle Jumpers yesterday. He is about 25 pounds. He is almost 21 months old. They work pretty good. I was able to let go of him and his head stayed above the water.. He liked the freedom of them when he wasn't in the pool and was walking around near the pool. I still haven't been able to find anything that keeps his face completely out of the water. He got a face full yesterday and choked on the water.. He wasn't happy. He only got water in his face because he was able to lean all the way forward in it... Need to find something that keeps him from doing that..

By next summer you will see he will hold his head up. I used the puddle jumper on DS the first time at 2y4m and it kept his head out of the water.

agreed - it sounds like its a matter of size and age so far. Im sure next year when he meets the puddle jumper requirements he will be just fine in it. Dont give up on it, its a great floaty device! It keeps DS head out too.

That's why I've been suggesting a vest and not the puddle jumpers (for the younger ones).. unless they know what they are doing, they will tip over..

Re: Puddle Jumpers----
I liked it.. He just doesn't understand not to drink the water yet!! He was able to lean forward in his life jacket and the tube too.. He will figure it out on his own not to do that.. Out of all the things I tried with him, the Puddle Jumpers gave him the most freedom. He was able to hold onto me and I could pull him around the pool .. I got a workout with him yesterday. And they kept him afloat when I dared to let go of him which is great..
