pumping momma's? milk diminishing?
after 3 weeks iof DD being born it seems to be getting less and less milk everytime i pump i used to get 4oz out of each breast after 10 minutes... sometimes know i get maybe 2-3 out of each breast, is it something i'm doing, she;s getting up less and less so i guess i'm not pumping as frequent as i was the 1st 2 weeks, if i start to pump more like every 3 hours, will it come back up to where it used to?

Re: pumping momma's? milk diminishing?
It definitely could be the fact that your DD isn't nursing as often. Your body will work on supply and demand. If you pump more, your body will make more. Are you pumping after you finish feeding DD? One thing that I used to do was keep pumping for a few minutes after all of my milk was expressed. I wanted my body to get the message that the baby was still suckling and needing more. It did increase my supply within a few days. Also make sure you are keeping hydrated.

Re: pumping momma's? milk diminishing?
Are you nursing and pumping? Or just solely pumping?
If you are doing both, you're milk has regulated and your DD does a much better job getting milk out of your breast than a pump could ever do.
There are def ways to up your supply and more frequent sessions is one of the ways to do it. Bf'ing works on supply and demand. Drink lots of water, I heard oatmeal helps too.
Try kellymom.com there's lots of suggestions on how to increase your supply.
You are doing great!
