Pumpkin/Apple Picking this weekend (I know this has been asked a thousand times)
We are taking DD Pumpkin/Apple picking this weekend and were planning to go to Hanks Pumpkintown but I am not so sure it is worth the 1 1/2 drive if there is some place closer to home that will be just as fun with DD (she is 19 months).
We live in Wantagh.
What do you all think? I realize the apple may be slim pickins and we are ok with that.

i've never been to Hanks, but it seems like a lot of fun. i went to harbes and they had nice activities for the kids, but hanks looks like it has more. there are probably not many apples left though.
there is also schmitts farm or white post farm, which are definitely closer!

White post farms, its not that far out maybe 20 mins from you. Its a lot of fun for the kids.

We went there in the summer and it was fun but I wanted to try some place else. Thanks for the suggestion!
