Pumpkin pie at peanut free school..
Please dont move this to food and recipes as its parenting related in a round about way as in this parent will be in trouble monday morning at her DD's school if she doesn't have one!
DD's school is nut free. I signed up to take pumpkin pie in for her TG feast on monday thinking I would pick some up at the bakery section in walbaums but this morning I noticed that it says on the list that we cannot buy stuff from bakeries.
So where can I get a pumpkin pie on monday morning? I assume they wont allow me to bake one....are there any brands like entemanns etc that make pies?
I always home bake stuff like this so this is all new territory for me.
TIA

Entemanns definitely makes a pumpkin pie - but it may not be made a nut-free facility, you would have to check.

Check in the frozen desserts too, there are a few companies that make frozen pies (we've picked up apple ones before) and they should have all the ingredients listed.

Buy a Sara Lee one. You do have to put it in the oven for an hour not sure if that is ok?

Waldbaum's has the Mrs Smith pies on sale this week for $1.99. They make a good pumpkin one!

If you live near whole foods you can check them out - they list their ingredients on everything.

I think the only way you are going to get a pie that doesn't come from a bakery is to make it, or buy a frozen one.

I know for a fact Entenmann's is NOT nut free. We had an incident a few years back w/ a child w/ a tree nut/peanut allergy & an Enternmann's cake.
Not sure about the Mrs. Smith's ones....I would think Whole Foods would definitely have something.
