puppy has diarrhea! HELP!..Update...
Max has diarrhea! His poop was normal this morning and this afternoon. Then all of a sudden he diarrhea 3 times in a short period of time. Is there anything I can do? He seems fine. Still running around and drinking water. And I'm sorry to add this TMI but this last time I didn't get outside fast enough and he ate it! Anything I can do? Should I call the vet in the morning?
Update: He slept all night. This morning his poop was normal. And he was running around the backyard playing. I told DH to watch him to make sure his poop stays normal and to make sure he isn't lethargic. Thanks for all the help and advice from everyone!

plain white rice and/or steamed/boiled chicken If it last for more than a day I would call the vet.

Exactly what I was going to suggest.

i don't have any chicken. Can i just give the white rice for now? He finally fell asleep. He had his last round of puppy shots on Monday along with the rabiis shot. Could it be related?

We had loose stools right after our puppy shots too. No idea if its related, the vet just said that he might be lethargic.

This is what my vet told me last time my dog was sick. It helped.

Re: puppy has diarrhea! HELP!
Our vet recomends you fast them for 12 hours to let their GI system rest and settle down. Make sure they have access to plenty of water. Then, you an introduce some plain whilte rice and boiled chicken (unseasoned) for a few days and gradually add a little kibble back in until they are straight back to kibble. One of our puppies has chronic diahrhea issues and this is what we do.
If puppy stops urinating or getting lethergic then you need to cal the vet.
Most likely something threw his tummy off and will go away soon!
ETA: It can definitely be because of the shots, just like kids can get sick after them!

My puppy just got his rabies shot this past weekend however he's had this diahrea we just can't get rid of. He's parasite free. The vet actually gave me something to help with the diahrea (drops, 1 dropper full 2x a day). She said that it can be stress from the transition from where ever to your home, sensative stomach, parasites (thank god its not). it's actually helping him.
the eating of the poo....thats normal with puppies...gross yes but rufio just started doing it while im at work...only sometimes. the vet gave me a powder to put in his food that is supposed to make the poo less 'tastey' ew. i haven't used it yet because i dont want to give him the drops and that at the same time.
Whatever you do don't give your pup straight rice. You'll bind him. Try the rice/food combo for a few days see if it starts to get better.
