Purchasing your baby's sonogram
 Does anyone know if their doctor's office will allow you to purchase or get a copy of your baby's sonogram? or are there specific places that advertise this as part of their business?

The doctor usually prints out a bunch and gives you a few copies....

Oh - I forgot put sonogram video - I have a copy of the printout but was wondering if you can actually get a copy of the video when they are doing it - I was in the doc's office for 2 1/2 hours for genetic testing getting a sonogram for that entire time - our child wasn't cooperating for the picture they needed!  I thought about this afterwards and didn't ask them!

I have a feeling some doctors offices do it, cause I noticed at one of mine, they hit a button when we heard the heartbeat for the first time and and error came up on the screen saying - CD was not inserted.

my doctor told us to bring a video tape to our 12 week sono and they'd give us a copy.

I have videos of all three of my childrens' sonos!!! It is so great to have!! I watch them every now and again It's great!!

I brought my digital camera with me and asked them if I could tape it (my camera records video with sound) and they let me. It was the first time I heart the heartbeat and the baby was a tiny white spot LOL When I go for my Level II sono Im bringing it again.

We were able to videotape our first sono ourselves. The following sonos, which were done by a perinatologist, we were not. She said we couldn't.  So I think it depends on the doc.

I had my 11 week NT screening a few weeks ago and DH couldn't make it, so the doc/sono tech put the entire sonogram on a DVD for us. Its great and you can even hear the heartbeat recorded! DIdn't have to pay for it either!
