Agreed and I aint getting any medals for it!
I am usually a size 6 shoe - I have resorted to borrowing a friend's sneakers in an 8 so I can get in them a little easier.

Yes, I find myself strategizing on where to sit, what position to get in, and where to place my shoes so that I'll have an easier time getting them on. In fact, I recently purchased backless shoes so I can just slide my feet into them while standing. This also helps with the swelling factor.

I insist on wearing my Uggs because they are just to comfortable to pass up! However every day is an adventure (to say the least)!! Let's just say the big finish ends up with me laying down on the bed out of breath like I ran a marathon!!

It is difficult for me too, but my weekly yoga definitely helps in that department!
You should see me trying to take off my knee high boots
