PX90 Exercise Program??

Anyone try it? I just bought it after seeing pics of my friend on FB (in a BRA--not a sports bra either...) 7 months post-partum with a rockin bod. She said she owed it all to PX90.

Impulse purchase, I know...but at least it has a money back guarantee...

Re: PX90 Exercise Program??

I haven't done PX90 but have a bunch of Tony Horton's other programs (Beachbody, 10 minute Trainer and a few PX90 videos from a friend). He is terrific and I am sure you will see fabulous results!

It's a series of power cross training exercise DVDs that promise to get you into optimal physical condition in 90 days if you follow the program. The testimonials are very impressive.

Re: PX90 Exercise Program??

My cousin did this and she looks amazing, She looked great before, but her arms and legs are so cut now.
She said it was the most intense workout she ever did.

Re: PX90 Exercise Program??

DH has been doing it religiously, and lost 20 pounds the first 30 days. I do it on occasion when I don't go to the gym but for me I find it rather boring to workout with a DVD. You definitely get great results if you stick to it. For me I need the motivation of a class and music pumping to really get me into it.

Good luck, and go at your own pace.Chat Icon

Do you know how much time commitment is actually involved? Is it an hour daily or something like that?

Re: PX90 Exercise Program??

I'm actually doing power 90 not px90 because i'm out of shape, they say px90 is the step above and you should be in pretty good shape to do it. i started 3 weeks ago but for some stupid reason i only did about a week and a halfs worth. i'm starting it again tomorrow (actually, now that i'm thinking, my DH had 10 days off and he eats like crap and we hung out the 10 days that's why i didn't do it) it is definitely intense. watching it, it doesn't look like that big of a deal but when doing it, i'm sweating bullets and i usually don't sweat that much. you alternate for 6 days sculpt (which is exercise work with resistance bands or weights plus lots of push ups) and sweat (cardio plus abs. cardio consists of jumping jacks, power yoga, and basically just jumping around plus kickboxing) plus one day off. when i did it, i felt great and energetic enough to walk 2.5 miles after each workout!! (including the cardio) i lost 2 pounds in 4 days and an inch off my waist in those 4 days. you definitely get results its just sticking to the program.

with power 90 they give you a meal plan and everything which i'm sticking to my own diet but using some of their elements too (i eat around 1200 calories a day, drink lots and lots of water) what they want you to eat, ends up being expensive and i don't have that kind of money haha. i do highly recommend it and i look forward to tomorrow and starting it up again! i'll let you know in 3 months how much i lost all together haha. but i'll also post about it in a month. the power 90 was i think 80 bucks which isn't bad. it comes with the meal plan, a calendar to keep track, a tape measure, dvds and resistance bands.

Re: PX90 Exercise Program??

I was doing this a while back but then DH and I went to CO and lost our rhythm. I am working up to starting it again.

It is HARDCORE. For many of the workouts they do all the sets and then repeat them. For the first week, you may want to skip the repeat, cause you will be SORE! It is a nice mixup of activities. The shorter workouts are followed by Ab Ripper X, so they all end up being about an hour or a little over (Yoga is over 90 minutes I believe), and it is 6 days a week (7 days if you do the stretch day, which I never did).

ETA: You will need a bunch of other equipment - pull up bar, possibly push up bars, a good set of weights for the arm workouts (or the stretch band things), yoga mat and possibly yoga blocks (I don't use mine that often, but DH does)
