Q about rug in nursery - for those that have hard wood floors and an area rug - especially moms of crawlers and walkers...
We have hardwood floors currently in DS's nursery. I'm trying to decide b/w getting an 8X10 rug and covering virtually most of the floor or getting a 5X8 and covering under the crib and half the room. Visually - I like the idea of just covering half the room and having the hard wood floors show on the other half. But, i'm wondering what is better functionally for DS - which is safer and once he is crawling/walking will I wish i had the whole entire floor covered? Or does it not make a difference? TIA!!!

I'm ordering an 9x12 (babys room is big) for the babys room, I figured its better to have most of the hardwood floor covered, plus I like the way it looks with the furniture on some of the carpet.

We are doing similar for DS' room.
DS is almost a year and this is the first time we feel like we "should" do this.
