Q for moms who have a nanny/babysitter
When do you talk to a potential nanny/babysitter about salary? when you first talk to them on the phone or email to set up an interview(before they even come in for an interview) or do you tell them when they come in for an interview?
TIA

Re: Q for moms who have a nanny/babysitter
I currently have a nanny. When I was looking for my nanny, I did some interviews through an agency. So, I told the agency my salary guidelines prior to them sending anyone my way. Once I met with them and thought it could be a possible match, I confirmed numbers with them.
I was also given some referrals from friends. They usually called me and we did a phone interview first. If the phone interview was going well, I would ask them what they are looking for salary wise, and then we would speak a little about it. I dont think its worth anyones time for them to come to your house and meet you if you arent on the same page.

My babysitter came to my house for an interview and after we both agreed that we liked each other we discussed salary.

Same here. I found my nanny through craigslist and we talked about salary after we liked each other in the interview.
