QOTD 10/4/12!
Do you usually change up your weekly menu with the change of season?
If you do, do you do so to incorporate the new season's produce at all?

I don't do a weekly menu so no. We eat pretty much the same thing year round With the exception of crock pot items- I usually don't do soups and stews in the summer.

We don't have weekly menus, I usually go to the store on my way home form work to pick up what we need for that night's dinner. During the fall and winter months I do make quite a few soups and use the crock pot a lot. Also, especially during this month, I stock up on pumpkin ravioli, because I can't seem to find them any other time.
During the spring/summer months, we tend to use the grill and bbq, so I'll pick up meats and veggies and we'll eat lighter foods with that like salad or pasta salad.

Oh always!
We do a lot of shopping at farmers markets for local, in-season produce. It just tastes better, is fresh, didn't sit on a truck or in some shipping container for days or weeks. And we support local business that way

Re: QOTD 10/4/12!
I'd like to use more seaonal product, but DH is limited in the veggies he does eat. The way I cook changes with the seasons. Fall/Winter calls for more stews and roasts and root vegetables, while Spring/Summer calls for lighter more veggie centric meals.
Since Sunday is going to be cold and rainy, I'm going to turn on the oven and roast a chicken, and roast a bunch of veggies. - cherry tomatoes with garlic and rosemary - a mix of eggplant, yellow and green squash, onion, carrots and mushrooms.

YES! Us too. And in the summer we grill a lot more. Winter it's soups, stews, chili's, etc.
