QOTD! 10/8/12
What is the one novel/book that you believe everyone should read at least once in their lifetime?

"The Giver" by Lois Lowry
Although it is a "kids" novel it's an incredible book. I have read it many times and I just love it!!

Re: QOTD! 10/8/12
I feel like there were so many books that just completely opened my eyes as "required reading," meaning I was the only one who read them in the class and everyone else just cheated off me. lol
1. She's Come Undone 2. Night 3. Black Like Me 4. I Never Promised You A Rose Garden
I liked them, but I wish that I'd absorbed more of their lesson then, and I wish others around me had, too.
That's why I wanted to be an English Teacher: there is so much to learn from classic literature. But then I became discouraged by realizing how little teenagers cared. Maybe I'll become a Lit Professor when I grow up.
