QOTD Wed

Hi, ladies!
Sorry this is so late--Dh are away, our winter getaway, in not-so-warm florida!

So as the big 30 is rapidly approaching, I often think back when I was a teen and thought 30 was so old and I'd have 2.5 kids by now.
When you were young, how old did you think you'd be when you'd have your first child? And how off were you?


I remember having a pact in high school with my best guy friend, that if neither of us were married by 24, we'd get married. Lol, 24 seemed so old. I wanted to be a mom by 26-27. In reality, I got married at 27 and will hopefully have my first child when I'm 30.

I always wanted to be a younger mom. I used to think I would have at least my first child by the time I turned 25. Now I'm hoping to be pregnant by 25, which is in about a month.

In middle school I thought I'd have kids by like 23, in high school maybe 25, now I'm 32 and we won't actually be "trying" till summer so I'll be 33 then.

I actually never pictured myself with kids. I never wanted them until a few years ago!

I thought I'd be married by 25 and have kids when I was 27.

Got married at 26, now I am 28 and no kids =(

I actually always worried that I would never find a man and have to face turning thirty single and childless. Guess I was a little pessimistic/dramatic back then

I thought for sure I'd be married by 25 with 1st at 27 and 2nd by 30.

I didn't get married until I was 31.

DH & I were dating for almost 7 years by that point.

To be honest, some days right now I do think this whole TTC process would have been easier 5 years ago. Oh well ...

I thought I'd be married in my early 20's like my parents, but didn't even meet DH until I was 23! at 27

I thought I'd have two kids, or at least one, before I was 30. I'll be 30 in October, so there's no chance of that happening. Hopefully have a at some point during that year!!

I thought I would be married by 23.
I was married at 26

I thought I would have my first child at 25. I am now 29 and have no children just yet

it is funny how we think we are way older when we are so young.

I always thought I would be young when I had kids, especially because DH and I have been together since we were 16 years old. But then before you know it the years fly by, we had some trouble conceiving, and we didn't have our first DC until I was 33 years old. I NEVER thought I would be 33 before I had my first baby but sometimes that's just how life works out.

I always thought that I would be married and with kids by the time I was 27. Well having not met my Mr Right and having too much fun living life its passed by. I always thought when my 'older' friends at 36 and 38 having kids it was too late for me. Now Im just happy to hear that at that age I might not have missed the boat.
