what is done at this appointment and when will I get the results? TIA

It's another part to the AFP
I had the AFP/Quad Triple Screen based on certain results of my 12 week ultrascreen it was determined I should have the Quad portion of the AFP.

I had the AFP/Quad Triple Screen based on certain results of my 12 week ultrascreen it was determined I should have the Quad portion of the AFP.
okay, so the 12 week u/s and bloodwork at 12 and 16 weeks is the sequential screen (what my doc calls it).
IF that had some 'concerning results', i'd go for the AFP? Or was THAT the afp?

The AFP is the standard 16 week test. The Quad is sometimes added. At least that's how my Dr. explained it to me. She got the results from the lab on my ultrascreen at 12 weeks and they recommended based on that that she adds the Quad to the AFP.

Sorry for hijacking your thread Starry!!!!!!!!! I get so confused, especially with all the different names of tests!!!!!!! So far the Level 2 is the ONLY name i've seen that MY doctor has used!!!! Everything else has other names!
