Quanity of clothing? & Washing baby clothes ?

Since there is a chance I could go early I started to go through the baby clothes I have already. In newborn size I have 7 pairs of pj's, 12 onsies, and 10 outfits (dresses & pant/top combos). Do you think I should get more stuff in newborn size? I have so many 0-3 months clothes, I didn't think the baby would be in newborn for that long but now with my shortening cervix I'm not sure how early I'll go and how small she will be?

Also should I wash the 0-3 months stuff or just newborn?

I agree too, I was told I most likely won't need newborn clothes so I have mostly 0-3 months to start. I have a lot of the gowns which I plan on putting Chat Icon in

I wouldn't wash all the 0-3 month stuff just yet. Wait and see how early you go, how tiny the baby is, etc. He/she may be in NB clothes longer than you think and by the time they fit in the 0-3 month size you might be into another season. I went nuts and washed EVERYTHING and there were so many outfits we didn't need or didn't fit and I wish I just waited so I could return the things that we weren't going to use.

That's what my OB said as they kept telling me my DD was going to be well over 10 lbs. Well she was born 8lbs 8oz and then dropped down a little more too and she was in NB size for at least a month to a month and a half.

I have hardly any newborn sized clothes. DH was a big baby- 10 pounds and 24 inches long Chat Icon so we're thinking this Chat Icon will have a good chance of being on the larger size. I washed all my 0-3 months clothes. Some of the onesies that are 0-3 months look a little small, so if he does end up being on the smaller size, I have that.

If he doesn't get to wear one of the outfits then I will save it for our next baby or to give to a friend.

I agree

I would wash NB. dont buy anymore.
wait and see how big the baby is.

You'll get a lot of clothes as gifts. I actually returned some of my 0-3 clothes I had bought. I was glad I kept tags on.
