Silly Question re: washing baby's clothes

I know its early for me to do this (I am 24 weeks, 5 days) but since my shower is going to be so late and I may go early, I want to do whatever I can early.

So, I am going to try to start washing all of the clothes we already have (we have a lot, we got a lot for Christmas and my friend sent us a 20lb box of Chat Icon clothes). Anyway, to the question, I have Dreft and Purex Free and Clear, but when I dry the clothes do I use dryer sheets? I didn't see Dreft brand or anything like that.

Thanks!!

Re: Silly Question re: washing baby's clothes

If the clothes are new, the first time you wash them you should let them hang dry so they don't shrink!!

Re: Silly Question re: washing baby's clothes

I didnt use any. Im afraid my baby will have an allergic reaction like I do with some washing liquids and fabric softners. I just used Deft only.

Re: Silly Question re: washing baby's clothes

We use Downy Free and Clear Dryer Sheets, which I will probably use for the baby clothes too.

I think that the dryer sheets remove the fire retardant on the clothing - I am not 100% certain but this is what I heard.
