Queens/Brooklyn Shower Locations Info for you - Long
I've done some research for my SIL's bridal shower and I thought I would pass along all the info I found out. I personally went to most of these. Good luck.
http://sidetracksny.com/index.html On Queens Blvd. Very reasonable. 3 1/2 hr party and need a $100 deposit. party menu available on their website, $4per person extra if we have steak and $2 pp for unlimited sodas. The room is beautiful and so is the restaurant. Very clean and updated. This is the one we chose. It is very trendy and posh looking. Right off the 7 train. Parking might be a little rough. http://www.mymoonnyc.com/ This was one of our top 2. It is very trendy and has a beautiful garden seating in front. mediterranean food. They had a good Brunch menu. They don't upen until 5pm on Saturday and to have a party on Saturday they wanted a minimum of $3k. Open for brunch Sundays. Prices range depending on what the menu items are. $18-20 pp if we do buffet. $25-30 for sit down. They have a separate room. Not 100% private, but accomodates parties. Room is separated with a curtain. However the neighborhood I would say is a little run down and there was a lot of construction. Street parking and L train maybe within walking distance. http://connollyscorner.com/ This is another Pub. $25-30pp if I remember correctly. They have some parking available accross the street. Very pretty party room with a side entrance. I liked that you didn't have to walk through the main entrace by the bar. Yesterday was really busy and loud. This was our 3rd option, but did not go with it because it was a Pub and we wanted more of a restaurant.
http://oneillsfinefood.com/ This one in Maspeth. Pub. They have different rooms and can accomodate different party sizes. Good size menu and reasonable $25-30 pp. Manager we met with was awsome. We did not like the place though. IMO outdated and a little "dingy". Even their most uptodate room needed work. We didn't try their food but for the same price we good a better looking place that offered as much. Also public transportation was difficult to get to.
http://www.jolierestaurant.com/ French food. The food might be a little "weird" but I think they do a nice brunch this one seems really cute and reasonably priced. The person I spoke to said maybe $25-30 and that would include 1 mimosa, bloddy mary. The room is semi private separated with a curtain. In downtown Brooklyn. I was told a max of 40 guests. http://www.uvararany.com/ In Middle Village. Italian food. Angela, the manager was very nice. Can do 12-4pm or 1-5pm. Dinner $25 or $35 per person. $25 per person for brunch. $25 cake fee. Prices include soft drinks, tea and coffee. This one was originally a wine bar and they added food later on. The restaurant was pretty and cozy. Max 45 guest and that would close the place. When I came to speak to her I was even served one of their delicious panacotta desserts. We didn't choose this place because I felt the Brunch menu was small and the dinner was more than we wanted to spend. However I definitelly see myself going here for dinner if I'm in the area.
http://www.auroraristorante.com/index.html This one is also nice. Italian food. Looks like they have a beautiful enclosed garden where parties are held. In brooklyn seems very pretty as well. However they want a $3k mimimun consumption commitment for a 3 hr party.
http://www.crabtreesrestaurant.com/ nice patio and reasonable prices. In Floral Park. Mediterranean food. They have a party menu online. Joe Abbraciamento restaurant no website? It's in Queens, on Woodhaven Blvd. Approx. $28-30 per person. Traditional Italian restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary. I actually went here last Valentine's Day and was not impressed with the food nor service. Street parking but they have valet. http://www.vetronyc.com/ New party banquet by Russo's on the Bay. In Howard Beach. Looks beautiful. I was told this place starts at $80 pp. Seems like a 5 hr affair including cocktail hr. So this was way over our budget. Good for a small wedding I guess.
http://bubbys.com/index.php/DUMBO Beautiful view of manhattan. Parties are held in the mezzanie level. Not wheelchair accessible. These are known for their pies. Looks very "yuppie" and pretty. Price for buffet brunch I think was $35 pp but i don't think it offered much.
