Places for a baby shower in Brooklyn or Queens
For my SIL's sister, any recommendations, I am a Long Island girl and do not know any places there.... a nice place not overly expensive less then 50.00 p/p, TIA!

Not sure, they are near the Mill basin area.... a lot of the parties have been @ Buckleys and kennedys already.....

My aunt looked at the Dyker beach golf course in Brooklyn for my shower and loved it, its right by the VA hospital. It was nice, just too far from me.

My best friend had her rehearsal dinner at Il Fornetto in Sheepshead Bay and it was really good!!!

my cousin recently had her sons baptism party there and it was very nice. food was pretty decent too (which says a lot...since I am a picky snot  )
my family has also held a lot of functions at Michaels in Marine Park.

Bubby's in Dumbo. It's very kid friendly and right on the promenade, fabulous food, but a bit pricey.

We had a party here too and it was good. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the service was great.
Also, Michael's (Ave R) - mentioned earlier - is also really nice too. Depending on the size of the party, they have a separate party room or for smaller parties they will set you up in the main dining area. Food is delish!
ETA: If Bay Ridge is an option, there are a bunch of places to choose from as well. The Pearl Room and Greenhouse Cafe are nice options.

I agree with Michael's, Il Fornetto and La Trattoria on Avenue U is good...oh and I love Bubby's
If you want nice Chinese --Lai Yuen in Bay Ridge is great--we had DS's 1st Bday there--rave reviews!!
