Quest labs and sperm analysis- so annoyed
The first available appt they have for DH to drop off a SA is March 5th. I dont understand why we have 2 wait almost 3 weeks just to drop something off. I am trying to think of other labs that do SA, but I dont know of any. This is so frustrating.

im beginning to think all these places blow...
the first lab we went to here in PA is part of the hospital, LOWER BUCKS HOSPITAL. We can go anytime, but it has to be M-F before 10am. Yeah..thats convenient for the working folk.
then we had a 2nd one done b/c this lab royally effed up our test..i had to wait 2 weeks for an appt.
Try calling your local hospital and see if there is an outpatient lab you can do this at.

I took the first available on a tuesday when DH is off from work, its isnt until March 10th. I am so annoyed that we have to wait so long. I called the main customer service number for quest to find out why there is such a long wait for an appt. They said they only do collections early in the mornings, for an hour and the samples are so sensitive they can only schedule just a couple each day. This location is the easiest for us since it is only about a 10 minutes walk from our apt so DH can drop it off asap. Its just so frustrating. I want to have an HSG done and my doctor wont do it until the SA is done.

can you call the dr. and tell them quest is booked and being difficult. this way maybe you can schedule the hsg in the meantime.
or ask your dr. for another lab.
heck..call your insurance company too and see if they can send you somewhere. or check the yellow pages for labs.
i think as long as you have the script from the dr. you can go anywhere that takes your insurance.

 maybe your insurance can tell you about other labs that you can use. It couldn't hurt to try. I know it is all very frustrating but if it helps any I think your dr is right to insist on the SA first - the HSG is definitely more invasive. While some people just find it mildly uncomfortable it is very uncomfortable for others. I still wish I would have waited for more test results before having done it....

I would definitely call your dr and see if they can reccomend a lab for you to go to. That seems like a really long time to wait.
