Quest labs screwed up my 3 hr Glucose test!
I have to take it all over again!
They mislabeled the 1 hour draw so I have to go and do it again!
It is not enough that I work nights so I was fasting when I would normally eat. I leave work early, get stuck 4 times, and sit there for 3 hours!
Now I get to do that all over again.
My doctor's office called and they said the lab said they called me. No one called me..........!
I am not happy!
I was taking the test early because I had GD when I was pregnant with my son. I started the blood work and failed the 1hr at 16 weeks.
I would have to go between 24-28 weeks anyway. I am 20 weeks next Friday. I think just may wait the 4 weeks. I don't want to go through it again if I pass and then have to get tested again.

That is horrible that it happened to you. I am so sorry you have to do it again.
I was always a fan of Quest until my insurance no longer accepted them. Once I couldn't go there...I heard so many bad things. Does your insurance cover anyother lab?

I was always a fan of Quest too! I was so happy when we had to switch back to Quest after having to switch insurance. We had been going to Labcorp for a short time and had a few mishaps there...
1) they missed my sons vein and had to stick him twice
2) the put my husband in as a female so all his levels came back wacky!
I have to call the lab tomorrow and talk to someone...not a happy camper!

i'm so sorry, that really sucks. I've had problems with quest in the past so i'm a real bit@h when i go there and make them show me everything and go over every piece of paper i have.

I am so sorry you have to go through that... that really sucks.. if your already 20 wks.. I would just wait..
they tested me early too, also because of GD with my DS I passed the 3 hr. and now have to go back wed to take another 3 hr. at my 28 wks mark... it really sucks... I know what you mean sitting there for 3 hours board and then getting stuck 4 times can I say OUCH>>>>

I feel your pain! My doctor's office screwed up my 3 hr test! The stupid phlebotomist didn't take any blood until hour 3! I even asked her before I drank the drink if this was really the way its done and she was like "oh yeah, we do these all the time." Argh!
So I had to retake mine as well.

Yikes, I took my 3 hour at Quest last Friday and had to correct the technician when he started to incorrectly label my one hour vile too!
I'm sorry to hear you have to do it again.

I am so sorry! I would not want to take that test twice! I have had it with Quest lately. I went there for my glucose test & they were supposed to do another test as well. They didn't. Then I went back for more bloodwork & they still left out a test! Plus, they never forward the results on to my midwife. No matter how many times I remind them, we still always have to call at my appointments for the results.

I'm so sorry I had to do the 3 hour with DD and am waiting to hear if I have to do it again this time around.
Quest unfortunately has a reputation of making screw ups. I know my doctors have said that before and I hear that is why my insurance will no longer accept them.
