Questiojn for those who have had a growth sono (at around 31 weeks)

I had my growth sonogram yesterday (will be 32 weeks tomorrow) and they say the baby is estimated to weigh 5 lbs already!!!!! . She said thats in the 94%ile. Now I KNOW these are SO NOT accurate and can be off by two pounds or so but I'm still nervous. My first son was born at 6lbs 11oz . They will be doing another growth sono on me now a little later to see what's going on.

What was the weight of your baby at your growth sono and how many weeks?

I am having a growth sono in two weeks at 31 weeks....now I'm scared...


My doctors dont usually do sonos after the 20 week but because my belly is measuring big and I was born a big baby (12 lbs!) they recommended I go for one!!

I had a growth sono at about 37 weeks and they were estimating that the baby weighed almost 7.5 pounds and would be close to 9 at delivery. I delivered a 7lb 6oz girl at 39wk 5d.

I'm not getting one with this PG, but with Stephano I did and he measured 3lbs 14 oz at 32 weeks, 50% percentile. My doc guessed that he would be a 7lb baby and he was born 7lbs 15 oz at 39wks 2 days.

ETA: I really think this kid is wayyyy bigger than Stephano too. I'm a bit scared

At 32 weeks my DS was estimated at 4 pounds11 ounces.

at 32w DD estimated about 4.6, at 38w they estimated 6.14, i go on my due date, july 3rd, for another. lets see what they say then and then lets see how right they are. i heard that the sonos can be really off tho.

32 weeks- 4 pounds 1 ounce
36 weeks- 6 pounds 5 ounces

I'm going today....will keep you updated. I am 30 weeks and last week the baby measured 3.6 pounds!! Wish me luck!!

at 34 weeks the growth sono said he was 4.5 lbs, he was born exactly 4 weeks later at 6.6, so he gained just about 1/2lbs per week. HTH

My 30 week growth sono's indicated the same - roughly 5 lbs for both my kids!! DS was born at 37 weeks and he was 9 lbs 7 oz and DD was born at 38.5 weeks at 7 lbs 11 oz. It really can just be a crap shoot!

I had a sono last saturday and I had to repeat on tuesday. At 34 weeks they said 5lb12oz-6lbs1oz. .
I'm kicking the carbs off my diet!

At 31 weeks my growth sono said about 5lbs(done at a specialist) My DD was 9lbs 3oz(10 days early). I have also heard that they can be way off, but being that I had it done by a perianatal Dr and not a sono tech, I was told it should be highly accurate and it was.

I have a growth sono scheduled for Monday morning. Now I"m getting nervous! I was on steroids when I was hospitalized last month so they just want to make sure didn't get too big with the medication. I hope he isn't too big!

I had one at 31.5 weeks and the baby was 4.2lbs
