Question about a Broadway show- Spamalot
I want to get DH tickets to see Spamalot for our anniversary. For a Saturday night performance for the next month or so, the only seats that are available are seats in the balcony, or partial view mezzanine seats. Which do you think are better? The partial view mezzanine seats are either in the first or second row- but the disclaimer says that we might not be able to see some action that is taking place on our side of the stage. Which seats would you pick?

We went and we had the partial view mezzanine seats. There were maybe 2 or 3 skits where we couldn't see everything, but ..... it was so hard to get tickets I didn't mind. It was so much fun. I would get balcony if they aren't far back.

The balcony seats are row E- 5 rows back. What do you think? I kind of want these tickets to be impressive- Was it really annoying to not be able to see those skits?

I would go for 5th row balcony over partial view. I get so annoyed when I can't see everything that is going on.

Go for the balcony over the partial view. We had "full view", rows 6 or 7 or something like that but were all the way on the far end and it was still difficult to see everything.
There are some visual jokes and subtle cues so it's important to be able to see everything.

Liz 5 rows back is pretty good...I would get the mezzanine tickets. Oh you are going to love it -- and the laughs will do you good!

It's such a great show - you guys will love it! I suggest not sitting in a seat with a partial view. When I went, I was leaning over onto my neighbor half the time trying to see what was going on. Kind of takes away from the experience a little IMHO. Good luck!

Re: Question about a Broadway show- Spamalot
I really didn't think Spamalot was worth the $$ or the wait. I had to wait 8 mos to take ym FH to see it, and we were both really disappointed. I had mez seats that were NOT labeled as partially obstructed, but they were by the balcony overhang. Just be very speciic about what seats you want. it's a very visual show, so you will want to see everything

go with the balcony seats - blocked view would be bad there is too much you could miss. 5 rows back isnt that far. the theater is small.

Re: Question about a Broadway show- Spamalot
We saw Spamalot in the mezz -- row b, it was great. I prefer mezz over orchestra, actually. If I could get row a, center mezz for every show I'd be a happy girl.
WARNING: The seats in this theatre are RIDICULOUSLY small. I mean, INSANELY small.
