Question about a gift for a friend
I'm meeting a friend tomorrow for lunch. We haven't seen each other in a while just because of being busy (one of those great friendships that we don't talk that often, but pick right up where we left off and are close). In any case, her birthday is next week and she is also in the process of a divorce I'd like to get her a lgift - combo - bday and you deserve it - any ideas? I'd even love to get her a massage or something at a spa but I think she'd kill me - she will anyway.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Question about a gift for a friend
Hi Michal!
What about tickets to something the two of you can do together? I think the massage or some sort of pampering thing would be perfect for her right about now.

Re: Question about a gift for a friend
What about a gift card to a store you know she shops at, a card telling her that she deserves to buy something for herself & that you're there for her, and then pay for lunch?
Not very original, I know.

No, it's "not" not original - holy double negative - just not sure what to get her - that's a good idea - was thinking of paying for lunch as a birthday lunch anyway - just trying to think of stores where she shops and stuff - I know she likes Macy's but there's no way I'm going to the mall tomorrow morning

Re: Question about a gift for a friend
Does she have any foods that she likes? My Mom loves pignoli (sp) cookies, so once in a while I would stop in to Dortoni's in Levittown and get a box for her.

Re: Question about a gift for a friend
Awww Miki you're so sweet but you don't have to get me anything!
I do like the mani/pedi gc idea because it is a way to treat yourself. Tickets to a comedy club or something like that would be good too. Makeup is always nice so maybe a gc to Sephora....
I'll see if I can come up with something a litte less unoriginal too...

I like this idea. The things you could do together gift. When my bf got divorced, I know she needed something to fill the void at night.
