Question about airport pickups
If you were meeting a person getting off an international flight, what time would you plan on getting there if the flight lands at 3pm? Doing a curbside pick up not inside. Thanks

Re: Question about airport pickups
I would get there around 230ish 245ish and drive around the airport until you see them walking to the curb, its tough with security now!

Re: Question about airport pickups
If they will have to claim their baggage, I wouldn't get there until 3:45pm at the earliest.
The wait for baggage has been 45min-1 hour for every domestic flight I have taken or have picked up people on.

Re: Question about airport pickups
Do they go through customs here at their place of departure? If they go through here 40 minutes after the flight arrival time. If it's at their departure point, 20 minutes after the arrival time.
But in general I think it's easier to park and wait inside -- it's more nerve racking to drive around until they get out.

Re: Question about airport pickups
We usually pick up around 20-30 mins after landing. We monitor when the plane should land or have them call us when the plane is pulling in and then leave. This is if the person is checking baggage.
Remember if the flight lands at 3 - that is often not the time the people are getting off but when it is pulling to the gate. The person you are picking up has to get off, go to the baggage claim - and then wait for their luggage. This can take a while.

Re: Question about airport pickups
For an international flight, I would say 4:00 pm...you need to leave them time to go through immigration, get their luggage and then go through customs.
We just came back from Paris, we landed at 1:30 and were walking out of the airport around 2:15ish.

Re: Question about airport pickups
It depends where its from...if its Canada then they don't have to go through customs again.
I would start circling at 2:55
eta: If its not Canada , 3:45pm.
