Question about Baptism gift if there is no party
My friend baptized her son early and privately due to a health reason. She mentioned she would be having a party, but now is not.
Do I have to send a gift? She attended my LOs christening party and gave us a gift.
WWYD?

You don't have to do anything, but I would totally send a gift for the child being baptized. The gift is for the child celebrating the event, not the party.

I only give gifts when I'm invited to the party.

If this is someone you are close to, I would still get a gift whether there was a party or not.

Re: Question about Baptism gift if there is no party
In all honesty, it might depend on how big a gift I sent when the child was born. Then again, it is not my religion and I did not know a lot about baptisms until my friends started to have children. So it is not a part of my family traditions. However, I was at a party for one today!
