Question about birth control and skin.
I'm convinced that the BC Pills I'm on is the cause of my face breaking out. I normally have very clear skin, but now, I'm errupting everywhere. Washing my face a few times a day is only making my skin dryer and doing nothing to combat the break outs (I use St. Ive's Clear Pore Cleanser, but I just bought a few Anew products from Avon).
I really don't want to switch my BC Pills because aside from my skin, they're great (I've had trouble recently with different brands of BC Pills).
I'm concerned that my only option here is to come off the pills I'm on now and make another switch... I really don't want to do that. HELP!

Re: Question about birth control and skin.
I would suggest using a face wash designed for sensitive skin like Cetaphil

Re: Question about birth control and skin.
i have been on bc for over 10 years. in the last 2 years, i have had horrible problems w/ adult acne. my gyno changed my pill and my derm prescribed oral and topical antibiotics. the combination of the new pill and the meds from the derm have helped greatly!
if you dont want to change your bc, go to your derm and see if he/she can prescribe something for you.

Re: Question about birth control and skin.
Ortho Cyclon made my skin break out very bad. I use Nuva Ring now and my skin is clear.
