Question about BOE application?
My SIL got a letter or e-mail today saying that her application was denied, but she can feel free to continue applying to schools directly. She is so upset b/c none of her friends/colleagues were rejected. She doesn't know if principals can see this if they look her up in the system and she doesn't know if she can even attend any job fairs. Does anyone have any input/experience with this? TIA!

Re: Question about BOE application?
Can she call them and find out why? Maybe she missed a question on the application.

Re: Question about BOE application?
I know she tried yesterday but she was on hold forever...The letter did say though not to contact them for feedback, but who follows the rules anymore!

Re: Question about BOE application?
Perhaps something was missing on the application because if they didn't want her at all, they would not be telling her to apply to specific schools on her own.
it may be that BOE headquarters doesn't place people anymore and you have to do it on your own???

Re: Question about BOE application?
I know she checked the box saying that she will find a job rather than have them place her, but that shouldn't affect anything. I didn't speak to her today, but maybe she got in touch with someone. I work in LI, so I know nothing about the BOE. I felt bad for her and I didn't know what to say...
